 Garlic Shrimp with Homemade Aioli

Prep Time: 30 minutes

2x1 in Spanish delicacies: the traditional garlic prawns and the famous aioli sauce.

Ingredients:
Alioli
2 egg yolks at room temperature (2 minutes in warm water)
1 teaspoon of chopped garlic
2 tablespoons of cream cheese or sour cream
Juice from ½ lime
50 ml of olive oil
½ teaspoon of paprika

Shrimp
200g of shrimps/ prawns
20g of butter
50 ml of olive oil
4 finely chopped garlic cloves
Juice from ½ lime
Required amount of salt, pepper, paprika and fresh chopped parsley

Instructions:
Aioli sauce
1. In a food processor add the two egg yolks, 1 teaspoon of chopped garlic, juice of half a lime and a pinch of salt and pepper. Process for a few seconds.
2. Add the olive oil in two parts to the processor, processing for a few seconds in the middle.
3. Add cheese and paprika and process until a thick sauce is left. Correct the seasoning.

Garlic Shrimp

4. Heat a frying pan over medium heat with the olive oil and butter. Add the prawns and the garlic. Sauté for 2-3 minutes, without letting the garlic burn.
5. Turn off the heat and add the lime juice, a pinch of paprika, salt and pepper.
6. Serve hot and sprinkle with chopped parsley next to the aioli.
